Rokrz Spring Kickoff - Roy

3/29-30

This was our first official tournament in Utah this season. We finally are having spring like weather after what seem to be a very long winter. Although the nights were still very cold.

Eventho this was a 12u tourn, they didn't get a good turn out from 10u so there were several 10u teams playing as well. In our pool we had 10u Rampage, 10u Hives and 12u Thunder Sandoval. We won both pool games but only winning with a score of 1-0 vs Thunder. Yikes.

Bracket play started at 930 Satirday morning which meant we had to be there at 815. My least favorite part of softball lol. Girls were playing and beating teams like Gforce, Ice, Thunder and advancing to the championship game against Spanish Fork Inferno. We were undefeated so Inferno had to win twice to be Champs.

First game had us taking an early lead. Girls were doing well. But so did Inferno .. They passed us up hitting the crap out of the ball. We had to play catch up and just couldn't pull it out. Final score 9-8 Inferno. Now on to the IF game we go. This time they take an early lead. At the final innings and our last bat and chance to win.. 2 outs and an attempted 3rd out and Inferno leaves the field and celebrate their win. However their suppose 3rd out was called safe and as Inferno is off the field looking confused as to what is going on, Alyxx runs the bases and scores the tying run. Which was protested and later ruled good. So now on the international tie breaker. We are home team they are up to bat with runner on second. 1 and 2 out walk the next batter now they have 2 on base. Last out strikes out and it is now our turn. Mora is on base for our team. 1 out, walk, walk, walk, bases loaded Oaklee is up. Hits a good one to LF that is caught 2 outs. Ashton up and gets walked and in walked the winning run of the night and the Utah Hot Shotz are the tournament CHAMPIONS...yay!!!!

So proud of these girls and coaches. Well played team.. Big shout out to our (in the park) HOMERUN hitters of the tournament ASHTON, HUNTYR and KEISHA .. Hot Shotz Hoorah!!!!

14u League Redwood

One of our leagues this season we are playing up in the 14u division.  We aren't expecting to win games but after such good games last nite during our first 2 games, I think we may actually have some go chances.  LOL.  Girls played well.  I love that our young girls are intimidated or at all scared to play the older teams.  They just go out there, play their game and have fun.  And also messing around and dancing in the dugout.  Here's some recaps of our games...

Vegas .. Oh yeah!!! St Patty's Day Tournament

3/16-17, 2013

Around this time last year we made our first trip to Vegas.. It will be a trip we won't forget. We did horrible lol. It's the truth.. it was still good for us b/c from then on out our lil team went to work.  Working hard to get better all around..
This year we went again. Better prepared but still skeptical about how well our lil team would do.. We had such a good 2012 year after our visit to Vegas that we had high expectations this year.  And I am happy to report that our team did a really good job.. Way better than last year for sure ;). We had our struggles.. Some games we could have won, others we had no chance. It was fun. The girls played well.  girls played their best and we finished in the top 16 teams out of 60. With a record of 3-4. We played 2 more games than last year where we loss all games ;(.

Special shout out to Kamora who hit a (in the park) homerun.  Good job Mora!!!

We are so proud of this team. They really do know how to play and have fun. Great job ladies..
