Boy we were excited to be going to Vegas.. Yay!!! We definitely felt that our girls have been playing so well that we can hang with the Vegas tournament. You have teams from everywhere there. So the talent would be something we aren't use to in Utah.. Well... we went and played. We had our ups and many downs. It was not a good tournament at all. Blame it on, nerves--being we were in new territory with good teams. Blame it on, it being the first tournament of the year after a long winter break.. Blame it on, the girls just not geling and in the groove. Blame it on, bad play calls choices by the coaches.. Whatever... Bottom line, it was a disappointing tournament. And even worse since we drove many many miles to participate. But we can't say we didn't learn any thing from it. Both coaches and players.. and definitely parents. We definitely have the talent to compete. And even at this level with the California, Nevada teams. It just wasn't out time ..
Now we go home to Utah and practice hard and come back a better wiser team.. Don't worry Vegas, we'll be back.. :)
