2014 Wacky Warriors

This would be the official start of our 14u season.  Crazy to think how fast the girls are growing.  

We've added a few new girls to the team.  and can I just say that our line up is solid.

So excited for this new season.

Wacky Warriors is always a fun tournament to do.
We played for Mr C (Christian) who passed at the age of 2
He loved Peter Pan so we went with a PP them this year.
Girls and Coaches are such great sports

14u is exciting and even so exciting to see that the girls are
battling with the best of the 14u division
Highlight of the game would be beating the very good Elite 2000 team 4-3
Whom we have never beat.  They are a good team all around.
We placed 3rd behind Inferno & Elite

Wacky Warriors 2013

Its that time of year again.  Fall season has begun and the first tournament has always been the cancer charity tournament "WACKY WARRIORS".  Always fun times as they allow teams to dress wacky and do fun things.  Both Boom and Hot Shotz participated in the 12u division.  Along with about 12 other teams.  Games held at Centennial Park in West Valley.  Even better that its close to home.  Weather has already started to cool down so another plus for us.  Teams wore fun colored tie-dye shirts the coaches and parents put together.  Girls loved it.  Funky socks and crazy hair added to the Wackiness..

Boom girls chose coach Foi to be dunked .. Where's the love.  Hahha.  He such a good sport.  As you can see with the dark skies, at this time the weather is not looking so hot.  Poor dude LOL

Each girl has a chance to throw to dunk Coach.  Our pitcher girls got him good.  Good job Bubbs and Shambre!!

 Good job Boom girls.  First year 12s and doing good.. Lets practice hard and get the next one!!!

Not too long after Boom girls went home, storm hit -- all games on rain delayed.  this is what teams did as they waited.  Ooh... we got some dancers here.  LOL

Finally after about an hour of waiting, games were on.  B/c some fields were done, the 2 undefeated teams (Hot Shotz & Thunder) plays the ship game.  HS took 2nd place with a score of 8-7.  Darn good game.  Good job ladies!!!

 

Wacky Warriors 2012

This has become one of our most favorite tournaments to do. Thankfully our teams have been able to participate. For one, all funds are going to a great cause "CANCER" and its fun with the different activities and contest going on. And you have an excuse to just be wild and wacky :) Check out the tournament info at www.wackywarriors.org. During the skills contest our girls Huntyr (12u) and Josie (10u) as well as Huntyr's sister Breah (14u) took first place for HomeRun hitter.

It was Hot Shotz official first tournament as first year 12s. It was a good experience. We faired well against the first year teams. We had to try harder against the more experienced team. But it was still good fun and we enjoyed the experience.

Utah Boom finished 3rd in the tournament. Not too bad at all.. The girls had a good time and you can see the progression in them all.. Bummer I didn't get any pictures of them..
